This is an original production cel from the Walt Disney Studios production Sleeping Beauty (1959). The hand-painted cel features Maleficent petting her pet raven Diablo. It was created at the studio and used during production, representing an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the cartoon. The overall measurements of the piece are 14.5" x 17.5" matted with the mat opening measuring 7.5" x 10.5". The trimmed cel measures 8" x 11.5" with the image itself measuring 7.25" x 10". The production cel is in good condition with minor line wear, paint lifting in a few small areas and minor paint loss in right wrist.
