A photostat model sheet from the Walt Disney Studios animated short “Playful Pluto” (1934). Featuring Pluto fighting to free himself during the comical flypaper sequence, the model sheet was created at the studio and used during the animation process to ensure character consistency among animators. The Norm Ferguson sequence was later referenced and reanimated by Shamus Culhane for “Beach Picnic” (1939). Measuring 18”x14” overall, with the image area measuring 14.5”x12”, the model sheet is in good condition with wear from age and handling including yellowing and discoloration, heavy edge and corner wear, tears along edges, staple holes across the top edge, and a horizontal crease near the center of the sheet.
