“Alice in Wonderland” Walrus Production Cel (1951) - ID: mar26201

A production cel from the Walt Disney Studios animated film “Alice in Wonderland” (1951). Featuring the devious Walrus playing his cane like a flute to deceive the little oysters, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the Walrus and the Carpenter sequence of the film. Measuring 14”x18” matted, with the mat opening measuring 9”x7” and the character image measuring 7.75”x4.75”, the cel is in very good condition with minimal surface wear, a pot of paint loss in the cane, and slight rippling. The cel has been slightly trimmed to 10”x8.25”.
