This is a very rare original production maquette from the Walt Disney Studios feature film, Hercules (1997). The amazingly sculpted reference tool features Zeus throwing a bolt of lightning, and was created at the studio and used as a three dimensional reference tool to assist the lead animators with consistent character design. The maquette is constructed of cast resin and the original sculpt was accomplished by Kent Melton. The entire maquette measures 20" x 15" x 7". Very few of these maquettes are made during production, as they are generally of use to the heads of the film and lead animators for each specific character. This maquette is hand-numbered 25 on the underside of base and is in excellent condition.
