An original production cel from the Walt Disney Studios animated film The Great Mouse Detective (1986). Featuring Basil, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the cartoon. Measuring 10.5"x12.5" overall, and with the image area measuring 6"x6.5" (his legs are part of the copy background and not painted on the cel), the cel is in very good condition with professional restoration including hand-inked line work to repair lamination damage. The cel is paired with a color copy reproduction background.
