An original production cel from the Walt Disney Studios animated film The Great Mouse Detective (1986). Featuring Basil burning Fidget's list, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the movie. The cel is paired with a background line work overlay cel from the scene, as prepared by the studio. Measuring 12.5"x15.5" overall, and with the painted image area of Basil and the flame measuring 8"x8.5", the production cel is in very good condition with a staple in the upper left corner attaching the cels' layers together.
