This is an original production color model cel from the Walt Disney Studios production of The Jungle Book (1967). This hand-painted cel features an amazingly iconic image of the evil Shere Khan and Kaa plotting together while also against each other, and was created at the studio and used during the production of the film. Model cels like this are used during production as a development standard, assisting animators and the ink and paint department with consistent character design. Due to this production use, color models often have some of the best imagery to ensure that the characters are captured in their full radiance. The overall measurements of the piece are 12.5" x 16" and the image itself measures 9.5" x 13.5". The cel is in very good condition and is paired with a color copy reproduction background.
