A layout drawing from the Ralph Bakshi Studios animated short "The Butter Battle Book" (1989). Featuring a fantastic image of the Cat in the Hat on a stage in front of a group of children, the graphite drawing was created at the studio and used during the animation process of the adaptation of the Dr. Seuss book of the same name. The drawing appears to be from an interstitial segment introducing the upcoming cartoon. Measuring 10.5"x12.5" overall, with the character image measuring 9.25"x12", the drawing is in very good condition with minor edge wear, discoloration, and a horizontal crease across the sheet.
