A pair of production cels from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Storm and Beast as Phoenix removes their shackles, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and is seen at about 15:36 in the season three episode "The Dark Phoenix, Part 3: The Inner Circle." The two cels are the matching frames used for the flashing effect as the restraints vanish. Measuring 9"x10.5" overall, with the character image measuring 7.5"x9", the cel is in very good condition with minor surface wear, light line fade, and paper stuck to the reverse from production use and storage. The cel has been paired with a color copy reproduction background for presentation purposes.
