A multi-layer matching production cel and background setup from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Colossus and Jubilee emphatically preparing to battle Omega Red with the help of Darkstar, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. Both pieces create an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the season two episode "Red Dawn," which aired on November 13, 1993. The cel layers all match the background layer, but the cels might not be precisely matching to each other according to the specific frame. Measuring 10.25"x14" overall, with the character image measuring 8.25"x10.5", the cel and background are in very good condition. The cel displays minor surface wear, slight line wear, production-related adhesive to the bottom corners of one cel layer, and backing paper stuck to the reverse of the cel paint from studio use and storage. The background shows light wear to the right edge.
