A production cel and pair of matching drawings from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Wolverine looking longingly at the headstone for his fallen comrade Andre Cocteau, the hand-painted cel and graphite drawings were created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the season five episode "Old Soldiers," which aired on February 22, 1997. Measuring 10.5"x12.5" overall, with the character image measuring 7"x3.5", the cel and drawings are in very good condition with minor surface and edge wear. The cel has been paired with a reproduction color copy background for presentation purposes.
