A production cel and background from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Beast avoiding the malfunctioning Danger Room, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. The background is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and is seen at about 2:25 in the season two episode "Till Death Do Us Part, Part 2." The background is paired with a cel that seems to match the background but appears to have been cut from the final episode. Measuring 10.25”x14.25" overall, with the painted image area measuring 9.5”x13.5", the setup is in very good condition with minor surface and edge wear, slight line wear, and backing paper stuck to the reverse of the cel paint from studio use and storage.
