This is an original production cel and background setup from the Hanna Barbera Studios production Super Friends (1970s). This hand-painted cel features Superman and it has been paired with a hand-painted background that is also from the series, but is not matching to the cel. The cel and background were created at the studio and used during production, representing actual frames of animation that were photographed and appear in the cartoon. The matching production drawing of Superman is also included. The overall measurements of the piece are 12.5" x 10.5" cel; 13.5" x 10.5" background and the image itself measures 5.5" x 4". The cel is in good condition with some line wear and paint damage due to cels sticking together in the studio's storage. The background is in very good condition.
