A large ceramic figurine inspired by the Disney Studios animated film "Pinocchio" (1940). Featuring Geppetto's adorable and naughty cat Figaro sitting with his paw in the air, the figurine was created by Monrovia California Potters, Hagen Renaker. They created and sold several figurines based on Disney characters at the Disneyland Resort shortly after the park opened in 1955, and according to Walt Disney, they produced "the finest three-dimensional reproductions of (the animated) drawings that he ever saw." Measuring 4"x3.5" and 4.75" tall, the figurine is in very good condition with light bubbling in the glaze.
