This is a metal Splash Mountain logo that was created by the WDI Merchandise Development department for a product design in 1989 for the opening of the new Disneyland attraction. This style of logo appeared on a glass mug, and this particular piece does have glue residue on the back side, indicating it was removed from its glass. Due to the origin of the piece it was possibly a sample or prototype used in the department, or may have been removed and kept as a production sample. The overall measurements of the piece are 2.5" x 1.5" x .125". The logo is in good condition with some denting on the very edges of the oval shape.
