A rare Eleanore Welborn large ashtray featuring Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland. Welborn was one of the first suppliers that Walt Disney chose to make souvenirs for the park when it opened in 1955. Welborn specialized in ceramics that were custom made at her studio in Monterey, California. Her work for Disneyland is highly sought after by collectors. This 6.25"x6.25"x1.5" ashtray is in very good condition with some crazing from age and some discoloration in the ridges. This style of ashtray is extremely rare.
