This is an original concept painting created by Disney Legend, animator, and Imagineer, Eyvind Earle. This stunning painting is a concept that features an idea for one of the scenes in the Sleeping Beauty Castle walkthrough at Disneyland. Due to Earle's familiarity and overall influence on the look and feel of the classic film, he also helped create the look and feel of the attraction so that it better reproduced the vision and style of the animated feature. The overall piece measures 9.5" x 20.5" and is painted edge to edge, but the center of the board has a "window" area painted into it, replicated the look of the windows envisioned for the walkthrough. The main image inside of the window area measures 5.5" x 15.5". This is a truely stunning example of Eyvind Earle's work that captures his color usage and design aesthetics, but it also shows his pure creativity in bringing the vision of this iconic attraction to life.
