PLANET OF THE APES

The official title of this Depatie-Freleng Series was "Return Of The Planet Of The Apes", and was based on the popular "Planet Of The Apes" film series. This 13-episode series premiered on NBC in 1975. Doug Wildey, best known for his designs on Hanna-Barber's Jonny Quest, designed the characters for this series, and his influence is evident throughout. Artwork from this series is extremely rare.
