story of a courageous Sled Dog named Balto. Almost the entire creative

started as a live-action Puppet Show in 1949. After a short-lived

Created by Jay Ward and Alexander Anderson (the nephew of Paul Terry),
this series first aired in 1948 and is recognized as the first cartoon
serial and first limited animation series made for television. It
is considered one of the most historically important TV cartoons
ever made. The original series ran until 1951 and then was reintroduced
in color in 1957. The Cels below are from the 1957 series. The Drawings
are from the original series. This is the only artwork we have ever
seen from this series.
