OSWALD THE LUCKY RABBIT
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was originally developed and animated by Walt Disney's Fledging Animation Studio. The Films were farmed out to him by Charles Mintz who sold them (and the rights to the character) to Universal Stuidios. By 1927, Oswald had become a Cartoon Star and Mintz decided to make the cartoons himself, taking it away from Disney along with several of Disney's Key Animators. This forced Disney to come up with a new character, Mickey Mouse. In 1929, Universal decided to start their own Studio with Walter Lantz in charge. They took the character away from Mintz, and Lantz continued the Oswald series through 1938.
