The Harry Potter Book Cover Art Series
Fine Art Giclee Print on Paper
These images are taken from the book cover for the seven-book series by esteemed writer J.K. Rowling. The Harry Potter Series is noted as the best-selling fictional series in history and these original images were drawn and painted by noted artist Mary GrandPre. This is the first time J.K. Rowling has allowed this art to be used for anything but the book covers. They can only be reproduced as fine art prints. GrandPre incorporates elements and characters of each Harry Potter novel in the book covers. The illustrations of renowned artist Mary GrandPre have appeared in each of the Harry Potter books. Her work has also appeared in Time Magazine and The Atlantic Monthly. Additionally, her talent for environment/scenery has been used for Dreamworks on the production of Antz. These fine art Giclee print on paper can be purchased individually or as a matched set, and is published in an edition of 500. Each piece in the edition is hand-signed by Mary GrandPre.
The artwork from books one, two and three are available now four and
five in the late fall of this year and six and seven in the spring of
2009.
Each piece is 15" X 29"
Mary GrandPre incorporates elements and characters of each Harry Potter novel in the book covers, such as in "The Sorcerer's Stone" cover, Harry on broom, catching the golden snitch, Hedwig his owl, Professor Dumbledore and the unicorn whose blood Voldermort drinks to survive inside Quirrell's body.

Mary GrandPre incorporates elements and characters of each Harry Potter novel in the book covers. In "The Chamber of Secrets" cover, Harry, Ron and Hermione are carried away by the phoenix, Fawkes from the Chamber of Secrets, where the basilisk hides, while Mrs. Norris, the cat, looks on.

Mary GrandPre incorporates elements and characters of each Harry Potter novel in the book covers. In "The Prisoner of Azkaban" cover, we see Harry and Hermione riding aboard Buckbeak the Hippogriff to Sirius Black's rescue, Lupin in his werewolf form, the Whopping Willow tree and the Dementors who are in Hogwarts, looking for Sirius.
