SING-A-LONG SERIES

In 1924, Dave and Max Fleischer created the "Bouncing Ball" which revolutionized the popular Sing-A-Long series of the time. The following ink and paint drawings on board are attributed to Fleischer studios as artwork from some of their Sing-A-long cartoons. Artwork of this kind is extremely rare.

OUT OF THE INKWELL AND KOKO THE CLOWN

In 1915, The Fleischer's developed their "Out Of The Inkwell" series featuring their first animated star, Koko The Clown.

BETTY BOOP

Betty Boop was introduced in a 1930 "Talkartoon" and has been a star ever since.

BETTY BOOP ORIGINAL BACKGROUND OVERLAY PAINTING... A marvelous and very rare Original Production Background from a Betty Boop cartoon circa 1930, depicting a jungle scene. The detailing in this sepia watercolor and ink background overlay is wonderful . The reflection you see is from the protective bag the art is kept in. VILLAIN - "SHE WRONGED HIM RIGHT" (1934)...A terrific and menacing original production drawing of the Villain from this vintage 1934 Fleischer Betty Boop classic. POPEYE

Popeye made his debut in 1933 in "Popeye The Sailor", a Betty Boop Cartoon

POPEYE ORIGINAL BACKGROUND PAINTING... An Extremely Rare Original Production Background from an early Popeye cartoon circa 1934, depicting the bottom of the sea...with a swimming pool ! GULLIVERS TRAVELS

"Gulliver's Travels" premiered in December of 1939. Fleischer studios was able to complete the film in just twenty months.

GABBY & KING - Funny and Colorful Original Production Animation Story Drawing of Gabby popping (or as they said in the day "fweep"ing) out of a drawer to surprising the King Little. Fantastic piece from the estate of the late Grim Natwick, on 8.5" x 11" punched paper. Image area measures 4.75"x 5.25"...$200 (#FL-9gull)

PRINCESS - An unusual Original Production Animation Drawing from the estate of the great Grim Natwick, working out hte symetry of the Princess's face. The 10.5" x 7" image is centered on the page, which has been folded vertically by the animator. STORY DRAWINGS - Rare and Wonderful Pair of Original Animation Story Drawings for a gag where Gabby approaches a Guard demanding entrance in the palace, and the Guard simply pulls Gabby's hat over him. GULLIVER LAYOUT...Another fantastic layout from this great classic film This amazing layout features, the Prince, Princess and the two Kings. This drawing is 13" X 30" and is made of two 16 field pieces of animation paper glued together at the studio.
