This is an extremely rare original production cel from the TVC London Studios production The Snowman (1982). This hand-painted cel features James and the Snowman. It was created at the studio and used during production, representing an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the cartoon. The overall measurements of the piece are 10.5" x 12.5" and the image itself measures 4.25" x 3.5". This film was stylized to resemble the illustrations from the award winning 1978 children's book by Raymond Briggs. The cel is in excellent condition.
