This is an original production drawing from the Chuck Jones Studios production How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966). This drawing features the Grinch in his custom Santa hat and coat. It was created at the studio and used during production to create one frame of painted cel animation. The drawing is accompanied by a 1/1 cel that was created by the studio's art program in 1996 for retail sale. The 1/1 cel is created in the same technique as the original production cels, but were made specifically for collectors, and only one matching cel would be made for each drawing when ordered, so there would never be duplicates of the same recreated cel. The overall measurements of the piece are 17.25" x 33.25" framed with each of the mat openings measuring and the image itself measures 7" x 5" on both pieces. The drawing and cel are in very good condition, unexamined out of frame.
